THE PURPOSE OF ATHLETICS AT VAN BUREN IS TO ENSURE THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT IN ALL STUDENT ATHLETES. OUR PROMISE IS TO PROVIDE
OPPORTUNITIES THAT WILL ALLOW THE PROGRAM TO SERVE AS AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE STUDENTS MAY COPE WITH PROBLEMS AND HANDLE
SITUATIONS SIMILAR TO THOSE ENCOUNTERED UNDER CONDITIONS PREVAILING IN THE CONTEMPORARY WORLD. THE ENVIRONMENT PROVIDES
ADEQUATE AND NATURAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND EMOTIONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT. THE ENVIRONMENT ALSO ALLOWS
FOR ACHIEVEMENT OF INITIAL GENERAL GOALS SET BY THE SCHOOL, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY THE GOALS OF STUDENTS AS AN INDIVIDUAL. MOST
IMPORTANTLY, WE FOCUS OUR INTERESTS ON ACTIVITY PROGRAMS FOR STUDENT BODY, FACULTY, AND COMMUNITY THAT WILL GENERATE A FEELING OF
UNITY- TEACHING OUR VISION OF TEAM ABOVE SELF.
SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM | WHAT’S OUR VISION?
ATHLETICS GO BEYOND SPORTS HERE AT VAN BUREN. AS A PARTICIPANT IN OUR ATHLETIC PROGRAMS, STUDENTS LEARN MUCH MORE THAN THE
FUNDAMENTALS OF THEIR SPORT. STUDENTS ARE PROVIDED WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO DEVELOP THEMSELVES AS LEADERS, ESTABLISHING CORE
VALUES THAT WILL APPLY TO ALL ASPECTS OF THEIR LIFE. WE WANT OUR STUDENTS TO DEVELOP INTEGRITY BOTH ACADEMICALLY, AS WELL AS
ATHLETICALLY. FOR THIS REASON, IT IS A PRIORITY OF THE VAN BUREN SCHOOL DISTRICT TO PROVIDE THE BEST FACILITIES POSSIBLE TO ACCOMMODATE
ALL ATHLETES IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE. AS BLACK KNIGHTS WE STRONGLY BELIEVE, THE BENEFITS OF THIS PROJECT WILL FAR OUTWEIGH THE FINANCIAL
BURDENS THAT WE MAY ENCOUNTER. IN TOTAL, THE PROCESS OF BUILDING THIS FIELD HOUSE WILL REQUIRE $1.8 MILLION. AS A DISTRICT, VAN BUREN
IS SEEKING A MAJOR SPONSORSHIP ENTITY TO EMBARK ON THIS JOURNEY WITH US; A JOURNEY IN WHICH WE HOPE TO FURTHER IMPACT OUR STUDENT

THE ENVIRONMENT PROVIDES ADEQUATE AND NATURAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND EMOTIONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT. THE ENVIRONMENT ALSO ALLOWS FOR ACHIEVEMENT OF INITIAL GENERAL GOALS SET BY THE SCHOOL, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY THE GOALS OF STUDENTS AS AN INDIVIDUAL. MOST IMPORTANTLY, WE FOCUS OUR INTERESTS ON ACTIVITY PROGRAMS FOR STUDENT BODY, FACULTY, AND COMMUNITY THAT WILL GENERATE A FEELING OF UNITY- TEACHING OUR VISION OF TEAM ABOVE SELF.
