A collapsible rolling ladder with self-leveling stair threads was designed and installed in a double deck floating roof tank in Iraq. Spreadsheets were developed to calculate stresses for various types of storage tanks, including cone roof, dome roof, external floating roof, and internal floating roof tanks. The spreadsheets consider static loads, wind loads, seismic loads, and internal and external pressures. Floating roof calculations in the spreadsheets include buoyancy checks, plate buckling checks, leg pipe supports, roof drains, and emergency drain systems. Vessel sizing spreadsheets were created according to ASME requirements and other spreadsheets were developed to determine flow tee thickness and slot area thickness. A new packing crate was designed for lifting plates
