VA stands for: Visual Acuity
 Acuteness or clearness of vision
 VA is testes by having a patient identify
characters (letters and numbers) on a
chart.

4. STBM
 STBM stands for strabismus.
 Hypotropia- eye moves down
 Hypertropia- eye moves up
 Exotropia- eye moves out
 Esotropia- eye moves in

5. AU, OU
 AU stands for both ears.
 Auris utraque (in latin)
