  5. 5. Bone Conduction<br />BC: is the conduction of sound through the skull.<br />
  6. 6. Both Ears<br />AU: also called binaural hearing which enables one to hear from both ears.<br />
  7. 7. Otis Media<br />OM: is an inflammation of the middle ear.<br />
  8. 8. Emmetropia<br />EM: is the ideal state of the eye in which no refractive error is present.<br />
  9. 9. Exotropia<br />XT: a noticeable outward deviation of the eyes.<br />
  10. 10. Left Eye<br />OS: Oculus sinister<br />
  11. 11. Extraocular Movement <br />EOM: controls the muscles that make eye movements.<br />
  12. 12. Visual Acuity<br />VA: is acuteness or clearness of vision.  A standard eye chart is necessary to make comparisons and to record people&apos;s visual acuity.<br />
