General James F. Amos assumed the duties of Commandant of the Marine Corps in 2010. He has over 30 years of experience in the Navy, including serving as the commanding officer of multiple ships and aircraft squadrons. Robert S. Carrington is the Director of Recovery Care Coordination at the Department of Defense. He served 20 years in the Army and has deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan, where he was medically evacuated from a second tour in Afghanistan.
