This document discusses a study that will analyze urban forests and green spaces in Karachi, Pakistan using GIS techniques. The study aims to (1) develop a geospatial database of trees and green spaces, (2) determine risk levels for tree failure, and (3) find new suitable sites for tree planting and green spaces. GPS and remote sensing imagery will be used to map tree locations and green spaces, which will then be analyzed spatially using GIS to understand patterns and relationships. The analysis will help identify high-risk trees for removal and new areas for urban greening.
