Al Sowwah Island is a new development in Abu Dhabi that will serve as the city's central business district. The 105 hectare island will include four office towers, two hotels, retail space, and over 5,200 parking spaces. It will be the new home of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and is intended to support the economic vision of Abu Dhabi by 2030. Sowwah Island will be connected to the rest of Abu Dhabi by 13 bridges and help connect traditional areas to new developments like Al Reem Island.

Al Sowwah Island is located as a primary connection between the more traditional, lower density areas that characterize much of Abu Dhabi Island, and new developments of Al Reem Island,Mina Zayed, and Saadiyat Island.Al Sowwah Island comprises an area of approximately 105 ha, with the original area enlarged through reclamation.
