This document provides a schedule of rates for various electrical infrastructure projects for the 2014-15 fiscal year. It includes rates for 33kV and 11kV power lines, distribution poles and structures, substations ranging from 3.15MVA to 10MVA, and associated equipment. The rates vary based on the type of materials used, location (rural vs. urban), soil conditions, and other factors. It is organized into multiple sections covering overhead lines, distribution poles, substations, and augmentation/upgrades of existing infrastructure.
Voltage Oriented Decoupled Control Scheme for DFIG’s Grid Side ConverterTELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
This paper proposes a novel voltage oriented decoupled control scheme for the DFIG’s Grid Side
Converter (GSC) of a 2.3Mw, 690V, 50Hz, 6 pole doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind
generation system. For Rotor Side Converter (RSC), slip and constant V/Hz control scheme along with a
feedback control via PWM is selected but not explained in this paper.Based on the per-phase steady state
equivalent circuit model of a DFIG, relationship between stator and rotor voltages is developed. Voltage
oriented decoupled control scheme for GSC is designed in such a way that it can keep the dc link voltage
constant by regulating grid reactive power when required. The space vector modulation (SVM) algorithm is
explained breifly and implemented for the two-level GSC. MATLAB/SIMULINK (R2015a) software validates
the proposed control scheme for GSC.

This characteristic of the system eliminates the requirement of dc-side circuit breakers in dc power transmission system and filter design by generating higher pulse level. A simplified proposed system steady state model is developed that can be used for power flow analysis. The transient performance is analyze by investigative the proposed transmission system responses to external AC-side (symmetrical and asymmetrical) and DC-side faults.

Among several types, variable speed-based wind turbine generator (WTG) is the most popular type installed worldwide. This type of WTG is able to extract 5% more energy from wind speed compared to the fixed speed WTG. There are two kinds of variable speed based WTG; Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) and Full Converter Wind Energy Conversion System (FCWECS). DFIG and FCWECS are placed at the first and second topWTG installation worldwide since 2004. However, both of them are very sensitive to the grid dip fault and may violate the allowable margins identified by various international Fault Ride Through (FRT) codes. This paper aims to investigate the responses of DFIG and FCWECS during certain level of grid dips and compare their performanceunder such event. Results show some differences of the performance of DFIG and FCWECS during voltage sag event, however the voltage profile at the point of common coupling is much better in case of DFIG. Results also recommend that DFIG can be effective when connected to weak grids whilst FCWECS is preferably to be connected to strong grids.
Design and Modelling of 5 Phase DFIM for Wind Energy SystemShachin Shibi
Induction machines are quotidian for both power generation and electromechanical conversion. Due to the ability to produce useful power at various rotational velocities, doubly fed induction machines are commissioned in wind generation units typically along with a step-up transformer. The contemporary three-phase induction generators used in modern windmills have a shallow power to cost ratio which makes it unsuitable to meet extended base loads and peak loads and the torque associated with the machine is also prosaic. This results in the deficiency of optimization of wind energy generation and adds to the abomination of renewable modus operandi. The present study proposes a simulation-based analysis on overriding the conventional three-phase induction generators with the five-phase counterparts through modelling the aspired gilt-edge design on a comparative platform as well as delineating a five-phase to three phase converter. The latter is designed with an appropriate scheme to eliminate the use of the exorbitant step-up transformer and bring about a resilient performance. The optimal design aggrandizes the energy output, improving the power to cost ratio for the same geographical area of the wind farm and supports up to an appreciable percentage of peak loads.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
