Sony Music Entertainment (SME) is an American music corporation owned by Sony Corporation of America. SME discovers new artists daily and is the world's second largest music company behind Universal Music Group. SME was previously a joint venture with Bertelsmann Music Group called Sony BMG Music Entertainment but Sony later acquired BMG's share, changing the name back to SME and dissolving BMG which was later relaunched. SME represents many notable artists across its labels such as Bobby Schmurda, Calvin Harris, and Meghan Trainor.
