Imagery describes about feelings and emotions.
 Rhythm.

LINGUISTIC CHARACTERISTICS
 Figures of speech
1. Metaphor, comparing two things that are not alike to suggest that they actually have something in common.
2. Simile, compares two things using “like” or “as’’.
3. Hyperbole, a dramatic language. Big exaggeration, usually with humor.
4. Personification, an object appear like a person.
5. Allititration, the repetation of the same beginning sound in a series of words.

STRUCTURE
 Intro. The beginning of the song, usually the singer's voice has not been heard (only the instrument)
 Verse. The verses all have the same melody but different lyrics.
 Refrain. Transition from verse to chorus
 Chorus. The chorus has the same melody AND the same lyric each time we hear it.
 Bridge. The bridge has a different melody and lyric from any other section.
 Coda. Song cover.
The structure is not rigid, so not all songs have such a structured structure. But every song in general must have a
verse, chorus, and bridge.
