3. SOLID WASTE
 Solid waste is the unwanted or useless solid
materials generated from human activities in
residential, industrial, commercial areas.
There are two types of solid waste
biodegradable and non biodegradable.

6. Problems from solid waste
Skin and blood infection resulting from direct
contact with waste.
Eye and respiratory infections causes from
dust produced during construction in campus.
Disposal of hospital and other hospital waste
can create major health problems.

All the waste from hostel is collected by house
keeping staff and dumped in a specific place.
Wasted food of mess is given to a contractor;
who is dairy owner.
Most of the waste from construction site is
reused.

Waste management is the biggest problem of
today’s world.
It is the important concern not only for LPU
campus but also for the whole world.
