The document contains 10 quotes on innovation from famous founders and thinkers. The quotes encourage thinking creatively, trying new ideas even if you fail, believing in future discoveries, and exploring beyond safe harbors to discover new opportunities. Photographs accompany some of the quotes to illustrate the people and concepts discussed.
ST Microelectronics has developed new solar diode and booster technologies to improve solar energy conversion efficiency. The cool bypass switch, available in different packages, dissipates less power and has lower leakage currents than standard Schottky diodes. This makes it cooler, more efficient, reliable, and long-lasting. The solar energy booster integrates power converters directly into solar panels to maximize power extraction at the single cell-string level and improve overall photovoltaic system efficiency. Both technologies aim to boost solar energy production and reduce costs through higher reliability and energy yields.

It provides examples of how clothing has been influenced by different cultures coming into contact and exchanging styles.
Rizal spent his last 24 hours in Fort Santiago meeting with visitors and writing. On the morning of December 30, 1896 he was awoken at 6:00 AM and wrote final letters to his family before beginning the death march to Bagumbayan around 6:30 AM. Despite having his arms tied, Rizal walked calmly with priests at his side as spectators lined the street. At Bagumbayan, Rizal was tied to a post and refused a blindfold before being shot by a firing squad at 7:03 AM.
Sociology emerged in the 19th century during a time of social upheaval due to revolutions. Early sociologists like Auguste Comte, who coined the term "sociology", and Herbert Spencer shaped the discipline. Comte focused on social order/stability and social change. Spencer proposed social Darwinism. Karl Marx viewed history as class conflict between the bourgeoisie and proletariat. Emile Durkheim is regarded as the founder of functionalism and studied the social causes of suicide. Max Weber critiqued Marx and studied bureaucracies and rationalization. American sociology began at the University of Chicago in the early 20th century and later expanded to other schools.
Development of Sociology and Anthropology in the PhilippinesCecille Jalbuena
Anthropology in the Philippines began as a practical activity of Spanish colonizers to understand and convert local populations to Christianity. It later developed as an academic discipline at the University of the Philippines in 1914 under Otley Beyer. Sociology was first introduced in 1896 as a criminology course but grew with new programs and textbooks in the early 20th century. The development of both fields was supported by various organizations established in the 1960s and beyond to promote social science research, teaching, and cross-disciplinary cooperation in understanding Philippine society.

The microcontroller activates an optocoupler connected to a TRIAC, which allows AC power to flow to the motor and rotate it when triggered. Keypad inputs are used to control the microcontroller and select different motor speeds.

HCL Notes and Domino License Cost Reduction in the World of DLAUpanagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/hcl-notes-and-domino-license-cost-reduction-in-the-world-of-dlau/
The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community. As a Notes and Domino customer, you may have faced challenges with unexpected user counts and license costs. You probably have questions on how this new licensing approach works and how to benefit from it. Most importantly, you likely have budget constraints and want to save money where possible. Don’t worry, we can help with all of this!
We’ll show you how to fix common misconfigurations that cause higher-than-expected user counts, and how to identify accounts which you can deactivate to save money. There are also frequent patterns that can cause unnecessary cost, like using a person document instead of a mail-in for shared mailboxes. We’ll provide examples and solutions for those as well. And naturally we’ll explain the new licensing model.
Join HCL Ambassador Marc Thomas in this webinar with a special guest appearance from Franz Walder. It will give you the tools and know-how to stay on top of what is going on with Domino licensing. You will be able lower your cost through an optimized configuration and keep it low going forward.
These topics will be covered
- Reducing license cost by finding and fixing misconfigurations and superfluous accounts
- How do CCB and CCX licenses really work?
- Understanding the DLAU tool and how to best utilize it
- Tips for common problem areas, like team mailboxes, functional/test users, etc
- Practical examples and best practices to implement right away

zkStudyClub - LatticeFold: A Lattice-based Folding Scheme and its Application...Alex Pruden
Folding is a recent technique for building efficient recursive SNARKs. Several elegant folding protocols have been proposed, such as Nova, Supernova, Hypernova, Protostar, and others. However, all of them rely on an additively homomorphic commitment scheme based on discrete log, and are therefore not post-quantum secure. In this work we present LatticeFold, the first lattice-based folding protocol based on the Module SIS problem. This folding protocol naturally leads to an efficient recursive lattice-based SNARK and an efficient PCD scheme. LatticeFold supports folding low-degree relations, such as R1CS, as well as high-degree relations, such as CCS. The key challenge is to construct a secure folding protocol that works with the Ajtai commitment scheme. The difficulty, is ensuring that extracted witnesses are low norm through many rounds of folding. We present a novel technique using the sumcheck protocol to ensure that extracted witnesses are always low norm no matter how many rounds of folding are used. Our evaluation of the final proof system suggests that it is as performant as Hypernova, while providing post-quantum security.
