Inadequate antibiotic therapy for infections increases mortality and antibiotic use selects for resistance, creating a resistance spiral. New resistant mechanisms are also emerging, such as extended-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBLs) and carbapenemases.

Sofia Airport Center (SAC) is an international-standard working environment in a
landscaped business park setting. It is the first LEED certified office development in
Bulgaria. The business complex incorporates environmentally friendly materials with
state-of-the-art technologies to reduce operating costs as much as 30% and provide a
comfortable, healthy environment for employees.
Upon completion, SAC will consist of 180,000 sq. m of Class A office space, 28,000 sq.
m of prime logistics space and 175-room hotel with recreational, dining and conference
facilities, as well as additional logistics space. When completed the complex will
represent a €350 mln investment.
To date, Phase I has been completed and includes four operational buildings. Three
mixed-use logistics buildings form the Logistics Center, offering approximately 28,000
sq. m of prime warehouse and office space. The Logistics Center was awarded best in
“Industrial Buildings” category in the national contest “Building of the Year 2009”.
Phase I has been continued with the first office building part of the future office center
– office building A2 - which was completed in October 2012. The total leasable area of
the building is approximately 17,500 sq. m. There are two levels of underground
parking and surface visitors` parking as well. Among the recognitions and awards that
the building has received recently are “Building of the Year” 2012 in two categories
