This document outlines a proposed platform called Soci.us to make group projects more efficient for both teachers and students. It discusses building separate but linked sites for teachers and students, with features like group pairing, grading tools, and project rubric creation for teachers, and a safe communication forum and individual contribution tracking for students. Research found students dislike group work but want credit, while teachers want collaboration but quality work. Challenges include developing two sites easily accessed by different user types. Proposed flows show teachers creating and managing projects, and students viewing, contributing to, and grading work within their groups.
