I’m Laura Popovich, a professional who enjoys working within

These are a few of my core values in regard to effective media outreach:
Feature people. Example: show volunteers taking action or students
learning.
Tell an anecdote whether relating to history, a recent event, or a person.
Build community relations by tagging local businesses.
Give “behind the scenes access” of events and daily operations.
Post on holidays or special occasional.
Engage with hashtag activism if applicable.
Thanking our audience, vendors, partners, and stakeholders.

Results
In Jan. 2016 the Woodlawn/PL site had 520 likes. Through
regular postings, I have increased our following by 50%
I increased our Instagram audience rise by 200+ followers.
Twitter saw an increase of roughly 270 followers.
