  • 4. Pros :-  Find almost anyone  Keep track of friends  Keep track of events  Learn new things about people  Can finds friends with common interest  It can be a lot of fun
  • 5. Cons :-  Any one can find you  Too much information can be posted  Friends may not be real friends  It can be used inappropriately  It can be addictive

WhatsApp:- Whatsapp was founded in 2009 by Brian Acton and Jan Koum Whatsapp is now the leader in social messaging apps across the 5 markets covered Is available for Google Android, BlackBerry OS, and Apple iOS etc.. In December 2013 blog post, WhatsApp claimed that 400 million active users use the service each month
  • 7. Pros :-  Mobile messaging app accessible on multiple device  Works across platforms  Capable of sending multimedia messages, including images, videos, and sound clips  Extra features include location sharing and group messaging  No international messaging fees
  • 8. Cons :-  Free trial lasts one year, after that there is a $0.99/year fee  Inability to create anonymous or secondary accounts. Apps uses you phone number, which means anybody who has it is able to contact you

Imo :- Imo makes communication easier between you and the people Imo’s text, voice and video chat make it fast and easy to share experience with your family and friends – where ever they are With imo, you can video call a family member in different country, upload photos in a chat group to show your closest friends, and more Full form of imo is : International Maritime Organization
  • 10. Pros :-  You can make high end video and voice calls  The app encrypts all your calls. This would ensure privacy of your calls  Hundred and thousands stickers makes it one of the best options.  Group chat features
  • 11. Cons :-  You cannot use it without internet connectivity. In fact, that is the issue with all instant messengers.  It uses quite much of battery.
  • 12. Youtube :-  Youtube is the most frequently used social media tool  Students can watch videos, answer questions, discuss content. Additionally, students can create videos to share with others.  Youtube also improved student’s skills and provided opportunity for peer learning and problem solving.
  • 13. Pros :-  800 million monthly viewers  Better search results  Highly customizable accounts  Quick loading times  Opportunities for paid promotion of videos  Universally recognized platform
  • 14. Cons :-  Huge amount of content to complete with  Unable to control content that shows up adjacent to yours  Limited video length – 15 minutes  Ads placed before or after your videos  Cluttered interface
  • 15. Twitter :- Twitter introduced Group DMs (Direct Messaging) on January. 27 , 2015. the format can accommodate up to 20 people at a time Twitter is used intensively in the Netherlands  potential source of person information, opinions, and sentiments
  • 16. Pros :- Every tweet goes to your followers Tweets are easy to create You can get to the point You can embed links It’s searchable(by #)
  • 17. Cons :-  Tweets get buried in your follower’s feeds: “a moment in time”  Not the best medium for visual content  140 character limit  Has had spam problems  Lower user base than Facebook  It can be addictive

Skype :- Skype, which is a member if the Microsoft family, is a company that specializes in connecting people over the internet, by letting them video or voice call with each other. 300 million minutes of video call made every day 17% of Skype video call users from USA Over 29% of the million users made video call
  • 19. Pros :- Economic and easy to keep in touch. Free video calling is a good feature. Can be called to phones and mobiles
  • 20. Cons :-  Difficult to manage time.  Poor call quality with slow internet connection  Limited customer service facility
  • 21. Suggestions :- Be careful about installing extras on your “SNS” sites. Assume that everything you put on a social networking sites is permanent or safe. Choose your social networking sites carefully Think twice before you use social networking sites at work.
