WHAT ARE THE BASIC SKILLS OF FUTSAL?

PASSING
• Technically we can pass
the ball with all surfaces
of the foot: inside,
outside and the sole. The
passes should be
accurate and use an
optimal weight on the
ball to make it travel as
quick as possible
between A and B
without compromising
the quality of the
control.
PASSING MECHANICS
• Get a partner and face each other with a 5-
meter distance
• Put the ball in front of your dominant foot
• Kick the ball using your dominant foot, step
your recessive foot beside the ball and use
the insole of your dominant foot to tap the
middle part of the ball
• Make sure the dominant foot is stable by
locking your ankle and pointing your toe
upward.

RECEIVING
• Prepare to receive the ball
• Decide which foot you will use to receive
the ball( right or left )
• Approach the ball once it rolls towards
you
• Tap the middle part of the ball using your
receiving foot
RECEIVING MECHANICS
TRAPPING
• Prepare to receive the rolling ball using your
sole foot
• Receive the ball using your dominant foot,
bring out your right/left leg, the ankle must
be locked and toe must be pointing upward
• Prepare to stop the ball using your sole foot
• Stop the ball, make sure to follow the proper
stance/posture when receiving the ball
TRAPPING MECHANICS
DRIBBLING
• Put the ball in front of your dominant
foot (right or left )
• Push the ball using your outside foot to
tap and dribble the ball
• Make sure to keep a space between the
ball and your dominant foot to keep your
balance
• Run straight and push the ball towards
the goal
DRIBBLING MECHANICS
SHOOTING
• Put the ball in front of your dominant foot
(right or left)
• Stand behind the ball (4 to 5 steps backward)
• Approach or run towards the ball then swing
your thigh back and kick the ball using your
inside foot
• To kick the ball, use your dominant foot, lock
the ankle and toe must be pointing upward
• You must aim to hit the middle part of the
ball
