Summary
Yanbu National Petrochemical Company (YANSAB) is a Saudi Joint Stock Company
registered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The objective of YANSAB is to engage in
the manufacturing of petrochemical products (including ethylene, ethylene glycol,
high density polyethylene, low linear density polyethylene, polypropylene, butene 1,
butene 2, MTBE and BTX). Yansab decided to use Aspen Zyqad along with SmartPlant
foundation for engineering data and document management, and Rolta was asked to
configure and implement SmartPlant foundation as EDDMS.

standards and suitable for integration with the SPF system

Rolta also created audit reports for all engineering tools, provided documentation for hardware and
software configuration requirements, set up SPF and other tool databases at site, integrated all
engineering tools with SPF, published all tools data into SmartPlant Foundation and published non-TEF
drawings and documents using the QCS utility.
