  • Our customers make the world safer and more prosperous with Intergraph technology. They create intelligent maps, manage assets and infrastructure, build and operate plants and ships, and dispatch emergency services to those in need.
  • So we strive hard to exceed customer
  • Throughout the spectrum of engineering work processes which are ongoing in the design of a plant, there is an urgent need to maintain data consistency because of the iterative nature of the design process. Intergraph applications and the mechanisms employed for integrating information help solve this problem. One of the key elements necessary for integrated plant design is the ability for streamlining the flow of information from schematic design to detailed 3D modeling. With PDS, data created in the upstream conceptual and schematic design phases DRIVES the downstream detailed engineering process. In the following slides we will take a look at some of the detailed engineering tasks and highlight how these tasks are integrated with information from the schematics applications.
  • Linearly referenced data – attribute, video data. Integrated representation and viewing.
  • Watershed boundaries overlaid on the scanned topographic map. Geomedia can generate these watershed boundaries automatically.
  • Showing different routing algorithm solutions
  • Some of the other interesting products that Intergraph has: Computer-Aided Dispatch – In many counties in the US when someone dials the emergency number 911, Intergraph software comes into play. The first picture that you see is that of a Call-Taker sitting in front of an Intergraph software workstation with dual monitors. The Call Taker verifies that the incoming call is really an emergency (it seems that more than 70% of the calls that come to 911 are not real emergencies, and in such cases the call taker advises the callers to call the appropriate agencies). Once it is established that the call represents a real emergency, the Call Taker accepts the call and the event automatically appears on the workstation of the Dispatcher . The Dispatcher looks at the nature of the emergency – Police, Medical or Fire – identifies the appropriate agency units that are visible (on the map display) in the locality, and assigns the incident to the agency and unit(s). Intergraph software, then, automatically, sends out Pager messages/ Alarms/ Radio messages/ Text messages/ SMSs/ other kind of alerts to the identified units. The second pictures shows a police car which has a mobile display unit which receives such an message. The units them respond to the Emergency. Police and Jail Management – Intergraph handles the whole life-cycle of the crime. From the time a crime incident is recorded by a Call Taker, Intergraph’s Police Record Management system can be used to record all the crime-investigation details – including crime evidence, suspect information, witness depositions, etc. – till the suspect is convicted or released. Once a suspect has been convicted, Intergraph’s Jail Management software can take over and handle all the activities related to the incarceration of the jail mate till the time of his/her release from Jail. Video Analyst – Another very interesting product from Intergraph is the Video Analyst. This product helps process video images so that appropriate clarity and clues can be obtained for identifying suspects. The third picture in the slide shows a case where a series a convenience store robberies were reported in the US. The two pictures of the suspect in the picture were very unclear and not very suitable for convicting the suspect. However, Intergraph’s Video Analyst provided the ability to extract some feature information which was used to convict the suspect. It enhanced the pictures and could measure the size of the spectacles, some features on the jacket of the suspect and the size of the boots worn by the offender. Based on this information and other circumstantial evidence the police was able to obtain conviction of the suspect in Court. These are all examples of some of the software products on which Intergraph Consulting teams work jointly with development teams in the US.
  • This presentation has been worked out keeping the target audience (recruitment of freshers) in mind. We have worked on the TEP principle.e., Technology, environment and Pay and Perks.
  • We would like to tell you about our work place in simple terms. But it isn't easy when what we are trying to describe is a certain feeling of joie de vivre; a feeling of energy and vitality, of freshness, of a place where people are unafraid to voice new ideas, of a place where there is minimal hierarchy. We are a rather friendly bunch with a driving ambition to be the best in whatever we do. Our people are highly motivated with a zest for life that is reflected in all we do. Most of all, ours is a fun place to work. Though we are a global organization, we have managed to retain the warmth and entrepreneurial spirit of a small software hotshop. We have an open door policy and the employee can always walk in anywhere, be it for advice, help, or a jam session. The work culture and ethics at Intergraph Consulting fosters employee participation. Result-driven management systems nurture out-of-the-box thinking. The young and agile minds, exposed to a culture of creative excellence and innovation, make a qualitative difference - to bring added value to our customers. The infusion of knowledge and experience in our working environment results in a collective obsession for breakthrough work that helps us stay on time and within budget in projects.
  • The quality model at Intergraph consulting draws on the industry accepted models (SEI CMM, ISO9001 and TQM). We use a formal approach for both products/ services and process quality. We have consolidated the established processes of Intergraph corporation as a benchmark of our starting point. Our focus is on productivity and quality whether in projects or in support functions like HR, finance. We have undergone unregistered assessment and found to be at Level 3 in 1999.
  • At Intergraph based on available position and the employees’ interest they can chart out his/ her career path. They can choose to grow in the managerial / a technical track. For example if an employee wishes to pursue a career in the technical line only, he/ she can choose not to take up the managerial responsibility and grow to the position of a Technical consultant. We are a high growth company, large enough to offer stability, but with a small company's agility. We recognize individual contribution and have a system in place to reward the performance of our employees - ESOP and attractive comp benefits to match the best in the industry. Benefits Transit accommodation for out-of-state/ city recruits Personal Loan Interest Benefit Scheme Leaves: Casual, Privilege Leave Travel Allowance /Provident Fund /Gratuity /Medical Expenses /Personal Accident Insurance Policy Promotions - performance based, assessment of potential, availability of position, reviewed quarterly Global competition, fast technological obsolescence, and demanding requirements of quality and delivery schedules are the norm in the software industry. In this context, renewing the knowledge and application base of the employees by providing high quality education assumes great importance. Some of the activities that make learning a continuous process are: Induction Education Program Advanced Education - Advanced education in software technology and methodology, management development, and quality awareness. Workshops - conducting technical workshops to disseminate specialist knowledge. Reimbursement of expenses for Continuing Education and Academic Pursuits Merit Awards in recognition of employees significant contributions to projects Meritorious Team Award Books/Magazines: Besides having a well-stocked technical library, Intergraph consulting subscribes to journals on CDs (compact discs) which are placed in a central repository. Employees can access these from their workstations
  • Apart from work we take our fun seriously. We have a myriad of cultural activities going on like quizzing, music performances, sports and games Beyond the job, employees are given the opportunity to pursue activities and interests in an atmosphere of social camaraderie. The Interclub (an employee run informal Group), organizes exciting and fun-filled recreational activities. Inter-corporate cricket tournaments are a regular feature for cricket enthusiasts. Every product launch is a cause for celebration and trips and picnics offer a day out for employees. We celebrate our annual day on the 8th of June.
  • We have a vision of where we want to go, and it's really exciting. Would you like to be a part of our company? Because we have an offer which is really exciting world-class communication and infrastructure tremendous learning opportunity - a system in place for sharing of knowledge, gained across projects attractive compensation and benefits matched to the best in the industry strong internal processes and project management ability well chartered career path - that assures growth Unmatched peer group And finally - our belief - that nothing is unattainable. And we work in that direction.
  • This presentation has been worked out keeping the target audience (recruitment of freshers) in mind. We have worked on the TEP principle.e., Technology, environment and Pay and Perks.
