This document provides information on development kits and evaluation kits for IDEX's SmartFinger fingerprint sensor technology. The development kits include a sensor module, development board, and software libraries to support various microcontrollers. The evaluation kit includes a demo unit with sensor, USB connection, and software to demonstrate the sensor and matching algorithms on a PC. Both kits are designed to help customers develop and test applications using IDEX's fingerprint technology.

SMARTFINGER EMBEDDED DEVELOPMENT KITS SMARTFINGER EVALUATION KIT
IDEX SmartFinger Film Sensor supports many types of controllers and The SmartFinger Evaluation kit (Part# IX-EVAL-01) consists of a Demo
development kits. The IDEX development kits consist of an IDEX Unit, a USB cable and PC Software (including drivers). The Demo Unit
development board, the SmartFinger Film sensor plug-on module, a is connected to the PC using USB 2.0 High Speed.

In addition IDEX delivers pre-compiled software libraries for any Cortex-
M3 based microcontroller. The libraries are free of any I/O or OS
related code in order to maximize their applicability and portability.

Together with the PC Software this unit can demonstrate the
capabilities of the IDEX SmartFinger Film Fingerprint Sensor and the
Image Reconstruction (IR) and Enrolment & Matching (E&M)
algorithms.
The Demo Unit is equipped with a SmartFinger Film Fingerprint sensor
for capturing the fingerprint, and the Raw Image data is transferred to
the PC via USB, where the IR and E&M algorithms are executed. The
PC Software can run on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7
(32/64 bit).
