IDEX secured $40 million in funding from Woodford Investment Management. IDEX launched a new touch sensor for mobile devices with partner Cypress and showcased an in-glass sensor. IDEX is engaged in large opportunities in the mobile and card markets and expects to gain market share as one of the few companies offering credible biometric sensor solutions. By 2020, it is projected that over 4.76 billion mobile devices will be biometrically enabled, generating $6 billion in sensor revenue. IDEX has products ready for market uptake in 2015, including sampling a new touch sensor to major mobile customers in May.
