For this particular lesson plan,
the material will be covering
upstream vs. downstream
marketing

● The layout I have chosen is one that is perfect for comparing two different things
○ For my particular example I will be comparing the differences and distinctions between upstream
and downstream marketing
● The layout first ensures that there is clear lesson objectives- identifying the goal of
the class
● Next there are definitions for both upstream and downstream marketing
presented
● Following, the layout goes through exercises that ensure the target audience can
identify each type of marketing and gets practice with recognizing each type
● Lastly there is review, more practice examples, and an overview of what was
learned

Upstream marketing is essential to creating a strong
brand and sustainable growth. Innovation, acquisition,
new markets, and new products are all activities that
support upstream marketing strategies

● This lesson plan would support universal design because there will be interactive
parts, as well as parts that require just to be read.
● Additionally, the lesson plan could be printed out if someone needed hard copies
in front of them.
● There will also be a combination of words and pictures for those who learn better
with each.
