gives useful information related to farm field to farmer.

Purpose of Project
 To make smart agro system which will provide
information to farmers regarding :
 Fertilizers to be used (according to present chemical
composition of soil).
 Information related to Soil moisture ,Temperature and
Humidity content, pH scale, NPK etc.
 Amount of water to be provided(According to soil-moisture).
 To provide cost-effective, user-friendly system.
Scope of Project
 By providing smart wireless sensor network for an agriculture
field, monitoring various parameters such as below:
• Temperature and humidity
• Soil moisture
• pH scale and NPK
 We are providing Irrigation method for distribution of water to
agriculture field in the whole farm or as per requirement of crop.
Scope of Project
 Using chemical composition of soil we can recommend which
fertilizers to be used.
 System fully organized in such manner user can access it
remotely or within a field.
 For this we are going to provide Android App for end user.
 We are designing the hardware system for which will be cost
effective to farmer.
Requirements
 Hardware Part:
 Arduino Platform
 Various sensors for agriculture field
 Zig-bee wireless sensor network
Software Part:
 Android application
 Database
Literature Survey
 Agriculture began 10,000 years ago in the areas of present day
Turkey and the Middle East.
 Agriculture is facing today to two major problems:
a) soil compaction b)water scarcity.
 The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) predicts
that the global population will reach 8 billion people by 2025 and
9.6 billion people by 2050.In order to keep pace, food production
must increase by 70 percent by 2050.
 In recent years number of investigations has been done in
agriculture field by scientists.
Literature Survey
 Current existing system is wired and costly.
 Current existing system comes in big size.
 Burrell and Beckwith successfully deployed a sensor network in
Oregon vineyard.
 An in field soil moisture and temperature monitoring was
reported by Hui Liu. The system consisted wireless sensor
monitor and remote data center.

Future scope
 By maintaining various sensors information on cloud, user can
access or control over his farm activities.
 Extensible feature of sensors we can add as per our crop specific
need.
 We can add motion sensors for monitoring behavior of animals.
Conclusion
 We are implementing a decision support system for monitoring
different farm activities. Using monitoring information farmer
can access or control his farm activities. It helps to increase a
crop yield and reduces wastage of water. Our system is cost
effective and user friendly.
