PDHPE is one of the six key learning areas in the NSW curriculum. It teaches children important life skills like making healthy lifestyle choices, understanding risk factors and safety, self-awareness, and communication. PDHPE encourages students to be physically active, make decisions about their health, and develop skills they will use throughout life. It helps children understand their bodies and what they need to function well. The subject also promotes confidence, well-being, and allows students to have fun, which can encourage healthy and active lifestyles.
