"THE BEST AMONGST YOU IS ONE
WHO LEARNS THE QUR'AN AND
WHO TEACHES IT"-

(HADITH REPORTED BY BUKHARY)

“Every human being is bound to taste death: but
only on the Day of Resurrection will you be
requited in full [for whatever you have done] -
whereupon he that shall be drawn away from the
fire and brought into paradise will indeed have
gained a triumph: for the life of this world is
nothing but an enjoyment of self-delusion.”
(Qur’an: Aali ‘Imran: 3: 185)


“You shall most certainly be tried in your possessions
and in your persons; and indeed you shall hear many
hurtful things from those to whom revelation was
granted before your time, as well as from those who
have come to ascribe divinity to other beings beside
God. But if you remain patient in adversity and
conscious of Him - this, behold, is (MIN AZMIL-UMUR)
something to set one's heart upon ( i.e. the matters
[worthy] of determination).”
(Qur’an: Aali ‘Imran: 3: 186)

ALWAYS CONSIDER THIS:


“O YOU who have attained to faith! Be ever
(QAWWAM) steadfast in your devotion to Allah,
bearing witness (SHUHADA) to the truth in all equity
(QISTw) ; and never let hatred of anyone lead you into
the sin of deviating from justice. (A’-DILU) Be just: this
is closest to being God-conscious (AQRABU-LIT-
TAQWA). And remain conscious of Allah (TAQWA):
verily, Allah is aware of all that you do.”
(Qur’an: Ma-idah: 5:8)


“O YOU who have attained to faith! Do not put
yourselves forward in the presence of [what] Allah and
His Messenger [may have ordained], but remain
conscious of Allah: for, verily, Allah is all-hearing, all-
knowing!”
(Qur’an: Hujurat: 49: 1)

“[But,] behold, as for those who say, “Our Sustainer is
Allah,” and then steadfastly pursue the right way - upon
them do angels often descend, [say-ing:] “Fear not and
grieve not, but receive the glad tiding of that paradise
which has been promised to you!”
(Qur’an: Fussilat: 41: 30)


“We are close unto you in the life of this world and [will be so]
in the life to come; and in that [life to come] you shall have all
that your souls may desire, and in it you shall have all that you
ever prayed for, as a ready welcome from Him who is much-
forgiving, a dispenser of grace!”
(Qur’an: Fussilat: 41: 31-32)

“And who could be better of speech than he who calls [his
fellow-men] unto Allah, and does what is just and right ,
and says, “Verily, I am of those who have surrendered
themselves to Allah (MUSLIMEEN)”?”


“But [since] good (HASANAH) and evil (SAIYI-AH) cannot be equal,
repel thou [evil] with something that is better (AHSAN) and lo! he
between whom and thyself was enmity [may then become] as
though he had [always] been close [unto thee], a true friend!”


“Yet [to achieve] this is not given to any but those who are
wont to be patient in adversity (SwOBARU): it is not given
to any but those endowed with the greatest good fortune!”


“Be conscious of Allah (TAQWA) wherever you may be,
and follow-up whatever misdeeds you may have
committed (as reparation) by doing (more) righteous
deeds (for these) shall efface them (the negative effect
of these misdeeds), and interact with people in the best
manner of disposition (i.e. adopt a noble character).”
(Hadith reported by Tabrani from Abi Dzar)


The Messenger of Allah s.a.a.w. was asked as to
what causes many people to enter Paradise, and he said :
“(Their having) TAQWA (consciousness and fear) of Allah)
and (their having) excellent AKHLAQ (disposition).”
(Hadith reported by Ahmad)


“O my dear son! Be constant in prayer, and enjoin the doing of what
is right and forbid the doing of what is wrong, and bear in patience
whatever [ill] may befall thee: this, behold, is (MIN AZMIL-UMUR)
something to set one’s heart upon! upon ( i.e. the matters [worthy] of
determination)!”
(Qur’an: Luqman: 31: 17)

“But [remember that an attempt at] requiting evil may,
too, become an evil: hence, whoever par-dons [his foe] and
makes peace, his reward rests with Allah - for, verily, He
does not love evildoers.”
(Qur’an: Shura: 42: 40)


“Yet indeed, as for any who defend themselves after having
been wronged - no blame whatever attaches to them:
blame attaches but to those who oppress [other] people
and behave outrageously on earth, offending against all
right: for them there is grievous suffering in store!
But withal, if one is patient in adversity (SwOBARA) and
forgives (GHOFARA) - this, behold, is indeed something
(MIN AZMIL-UMUR) to set one’s heart upon( i.e. the
matters [worthy] of determination)!”
(Qur’an: Shura: 42: 41-43)


“He it is who has sent forth His Messenger with the [task
of spreading] guidance and the religion of truth, to the end
that He make it prevail over every [false] religion; and
none can bear witness [to the truth] as Allah does.”
(Qur’an: Fath: 48: 28)


“And thus have We willed you to be a community of the
middle way (UMMATAN WASOTAN) [i.e. justly balanced], so
that [with your lives] you might bear witness to the truth
before all mankind (SHUHADAA-A - ‘ALAN-NAAS) , and the
Messenger as a witness over you.“
(Qur’an: al- Baqarah: 2:143)


“And strive (WA-JAA-HADU) in His cause as ye ought
to strive, (with sincerity and under discipline). He has
chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in
religion; it is the cult of your father Abraham. It is He
Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this
(Revelation); that the Messenger (SHAHEEDAN) may
be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for
mankind! (SHUHADAA-A- ‘ALAN-NAAS).“
(Qur’an: al- Hajj: 22:78)


“ Those whom Allah (in His plan) wills to guide,
He opens their breast to ISLAM; those whom He
wills to leave straying, He makes their breast
close and constricted, as if they had to climb up
to the skies: thus doth Allah (heap) the penalty
on those who refuse to believe. "
(Qur’an: An-’am: 6: 125)


“Is one whose heart Allah has opened to ISLAM,
so that he has received Enlightenment from
Allah, (no better than one hard-hearted)? Woe
to those whose hearts are hardened against
celebrating the praises of Allah! they are
manifestly wandering (in error)!”
(Qur’an: Zumar: 39: 22)


“People are like minerals, the best of them in
Jahiliyah (during times of ignorance)
will still be the best amongst them in Islam,
so long as they have proper (profound) understanding.”
(Hadith reported by Bukhary, Muslim, Darimi and Ahmad)


“And those who (JAAHADU) strive in Our (cause),- We
will certainly guide them to our Paths (SUBUULANA) :
For verily Allah is with those who do right.”
(Qur’an: Ahnkabut: 29: 69)


“The best one amongst you is the person who
makes you remember Allah when you look
upon him; and whenever he speaks it increases
you your knowledge ( ‘ilm of the Deen), and
with his deeds (‘amal) it inspires (motivates)
you to strive for your Hereafter.”

(Hadith reported by Hakim from Ibnu ‘Umar r.a .)


“And when Allah guides a single person (to Islam),
through you (with your sincere effort), (the reward) for
you is better than (if you are given) the whole world
and whatever it contains.”
(Hadith of the Prophet )


“Among the believers are men who have [always] been true
to what they have vowed before Allah: Of them some have
fulfilled their obligations (with their lives), and some of them
are still waiting (for its fulfillment) without having changed
[their resolve] in the least.”
(Qur’an: al-Ahzab: 33: 23)


"Our Lord! Make of us Muslims bowing to Thy (Will) and of our
progeny a people Muslim bowing to Thy (Will) and show us our
places for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in Mercy);
for Thou art the Oft-Returning Most-Merciful.”
(Qur’an: Baqarah: 2: 128)


"Our Lord! pour out constancy on us and make our steps firm;
Help us against those that reject faith."
(Qur’an: Baqarah: 2:250)


“Our Lord ! Let not our hearts swerve from the truth after
You have guided us; and bestow upon us the gift of Thy
Grace (Mercy): verily, You are the (true) giver of Gifts
(bestowals).”
(Qur’an : Aali ‘Imran : 3 : 8)


“(May) Allah grant His Reward upon Muhammad,
salutations of Allah and Peace be upon him and his family,
in accordance with what he deserves
(in Allah’s knowledge & estimation).”


And salutations of Allah and Peace be upon our Leader
Muhammad, and upon His household and Companions .
And all the Praises is for Allah,
Lord Sustainer of all the worlds.
