A Dynamic MAC Protocol for WCDMA Wireless Multimedia NetworksIDES Editor
Existing MAC protocols like TDMA and 802.11
have many disadvantages for scheduling multimedia traffic in
CDMA wireless networks. Our objective is to develop a
dynamic MAC protocol for WCDMA networks to avoid
congestion and improve the channel utilization and
throughput of the bulky real-time flows. In this paper, we
propose to develop a dynamic MAC protocol for wireless
multimedia networks. In the design, we combine the merits of
the CSMA, TDMA MAC protocols with WCDMA systems to
improve the throughput of the multimedia WLAN in a
cellular environment. We use these MAC protocols
adaptively, to handle both the low and high data traffics of the
mobile users. It uses multiple slots per frame allowing
multiple users to transmit simultaneously using their own
CDMA codes. By simulation results, we show that our
proposed MAC protocol achieves high channel utilization and
improved throughput with reduced average delay under low
and high data traffic.

A Cross Layer Based Scalable Channel Slot Re-Utilization Technique for Wirele...csandit
Due to tremendous growth of the wireless based application services are increasing the demand
for wireless communication techniques that use bandwidth more effectively. Channel slot reutilization
in multi-radio wireless mesh networks is a very challenging problem. WMNs have
been adopted as back haul to connect various networks such as Wi-Fi (802.11), WI-MAX
(802.16e) etc. to the internet. The slot re-utilization technique proposed so far suffer due to high
collision due to improper channel slot usage approximation error. To overcome this here the
author propose the cross layer optimization technique by designing a device classification
based channel slot re-utilization routing strategy which considers the channel slot and node
information from various layers and use some of these parameters to approximate the risk
involve in channel slot re-utilization in order to improve the QoS of the network. The simulation
and analytical results show the effectiveness of our proposed approach in term of channel slot
re-utilization efficiency and thus helps in reducing latency for data transmission and reduce
channel slot collision.

Dynamic Power Allocation for Mc-Cdma System Using Iterative Water Filling Alg...inventionjournals
ABSTRACT : Power control in Multi Carrier Code Division Multiple Access ( MCCDMA) based wireless cellular network is of great importance. The power allocation methodology to enhance the performance of the MCCDMA system by limiting interference noise is at the expense of signaling overhead due to sharing of Channel State Information (CSI). The distributed algorithms that manage the power level based on the user’s SINR requirements needs the complete knowledge of Channel State Information (CSI) .Since the CSI is subjected to the errors because of the imperfect channel estimation/measurement due to the time varying nature of the channels, the distributed power control algorithm is not globally optimum. The water filling algorithm is used to allocate proper power for every sub channel in order to improve channel capacity. The water filling algorithm distributes power among all users with the help of SINR that is received by the transmitter instead of getting full Channel State Information (CSI).
There are several possible methods for increasing
transmission capacity over fixed bandwidth.
These include modulation employing different amplitude
levels, two orthogonal subcarriers and polarization.
In fact, the only remaining unused dimension is Space.
Oil and Gas companies rely on dependable, high speed communications to support their mission critical operations, both at sea and on land. In addition, this infrastructure must also support crew welfare, enabling workers to access their preferred Internet services and stay in touch with family and friends.

Performance Enhancement of 5G Networks: Remodeling Power Domain Scheme Throug...IJAEMSJORNAL
The integration of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technologies addresses critical challenges such as massive connectivity, low latency, and high dependability in 5G cellular systems and beyond. However, resolving these issues required additional research, particularly in the case of 5G networks employing MIMO. This involved enhancing and reevaluating parameters like bit error rate, downlink spectrum efficiency, average capacity rate, and uplink transmission outage probability to optimize performance. The devised model utilized Quadrature Phase Shift Keying modulation on selected frequency channels, accommodating users with diverse power location coefficients, signal-to-noise ratios, transmit powers, and bandwidths. Evaluating the proposed model's effectiveness involved testing and comparing results to previous research. Download transmission results demonstrated that MIMO-NOMA significantly improved the bit error rate performance and transmitting power for the best-evaluated user. For uplink transmission, the average capacity rate was used to assess performance, indicating an increase in the average capacity rate for the best user and a decrease in outage probability. Closed-form formulas for bit error rate, spectrum efficiency, average capacity rate, and outage probability for both downlink and uplink NOMA, with and without MIMO, were derived. In essence, adopting MIMO-NOMA led to a remarkable improvement in the performance of all users, even those facing challenges such as interference or fading channels.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
