This document provides an overview of the British Literature and Composition course taught by Ms. Maria Mircea. The course will take a chronological approach to studying literary movements in British literature from 449-1900 AD. Students will develop creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills through activities like brainstorming, peer review, debates, and Socratic seminars. They will analyze texts and viewpoints, communicate effectively, and work respectfully in diverse teams to further their understanding of British literature. For example, a Socratic seminar will have students discuss questions in a circle while supporting or refuting each other's ideas with evidence.
