The school implemented Google Drive to address storage and sharing issues. Previously there was no central file server, backup, or secure storage. The Deputy Principal uploaded academic and general policies to their Drive. All staff were then given access to securely share and access the files from anywhere. Teachers also received individual storage space and department-specific files were shared. A lesson plan template was created for uniformity and easy sharing of plans each week.

●The Storage & Sharing
Solution
3. Storage
Initially, we did not have a
central file server. This meant:
● No back up
● No secure storage
● No individual storage options
● No option to share required files
4. Storage – What We
Did at SIS KJ
We uploaded the
academic and
general policies to
our Deputy
Principal's DRIVE
5. Storage – What We
Did at SIS KJ
1. Secure Storage:
Our Deputy
Principal then
choose the staff
email addresses in
the sharing option...
6. Storage – What We
Did at SIS KJ
2. Shared Files:
KAPOW! All staff
had access to the
academic and
general policies
anywhere, anytime.
7. Storage – What We
Did at SIS KJ
3. Individual Shared
Files: Shabam!
Depending on which
department the staff
were in, individual files
were shared with those
that needed them.
8. Storage – What We
Did at SIS KJ
4. Lesson Planning:
Bonza! We created a
Lesson Plan template in
“Sheets”, shared it with
all teachers and they
then had a uniform
template to use... and
copy for future use
9. Storage – What We
Did at SIS KJ
5. Reporting: Ripper!
Each teacher can now
plan their lessons, copy
& paste similar items
and SHARE the lesson
before the deadline
each week when lesson
Plans are due.
10. Storage – What We
Did at SIS KJ
6. Individual Storage:
Shazam! Each teacher can
create documents, sheets
and presentations plus
upload any file they want
to, stored and allocated to
their personal account (30
GIGS worth)
11. Storage
So, now we have:
● Google doing back up
● Secure, individual storage
● No individual storage options
● Full sharing options, access
anywhere, anytime
