Welfare service
Welfare service at the project site include:
• Drinking water supply
• Housing
• Medical service at health facility
• Toilet
• Shower
• Canteen
• Solid waste collection
Site rules
• All personnel must receive a site induction
prior to commencing work
• Appropriate personal protective equipment
(PPE) is to be worn by all persons on site at all
times
• Drugs and alcohol will not be tolerated on the
site
• Only use canteen for eating foods
Site rules
• All solid waste shall be segregated and collected
to bins
• Keep all areas of the site tidy and free from
discarded materials
• The use of mobile phone while working is not
permitted on the site
• Report work situations that are not safe or
healthy to Engineer
• Not discriminate against any person

• Smoking ,chat chewing and substance use is
prohibited in the site
• Do not interfere with any ladder, scaffolding or
access equipment
• Ensure that all materials brought onto the site
are handled, stored and disposed of in a safe
manner
• Misuse of equipment or unsafe practices will not
be tolerated

Carry out duties competently and diligently as
well as refrain from damaging and polluting
environment
Attend tool box talk session and trainings
related to ESOHS and implement accordingly
Ensure the proper use materials tools and not
engaging in theft, carelessness, or waste

• Respect religion, culture, beliefs ,traditions of the local
community
• Not exploit or sexually exploit or abuse (SEA) any
person.
• Not engage in any form of sexual harassment
• Not engage in rape, sexual assault, human trafficking
of any person or exploit a trafficked person or under
age person
• Report through GRM or Engineer any breaches of this
code of conduct
Major work site hazard
• Falls
• Struck-by
• Caught-in/between
• Electrocution
Fall prevention
• Cover and secure floor openings, Use stairs or
secure ladders
• Put barriers & signs around excavations
• Keep people out of the area below
• Don’t overload scaffold
• Scaffolds should be provided with safe means
of access, such as stairs, ladders or ramps
• Use PPE like helmet, glove, safety shoes
Struck-by prevention
• Never position yourself between moving and fixed
objects
• Always look both ways as you walk the site
• Never come in from its "blind side“ of vehicle.

• Always check hand and power tools for damage
• Alert people below by posting warning signs
• Use barricades to keep people out of the danger
zone
• Wear PPE including hard hats ,reflective vest and eye
safety
Electrocution prevention
• Operate portable electric tools if double insulated
• Use ground fault circuit interrupters for protection.
• Check tools, cables, plugs and sockets before use
• Keep cables and electric tools away from water
• Turn off power when checking or adjusting tools
• Keep your work area free of unnecessary
combustible materials
• Know the location of the firefighting equipment in
their area
Caught-in/between prevention
• Never enter an unprotected trench or excavation 5 feet or
deeper without protective system
• Only operate machinery with safety guards that are in
place and working
• Never wear loose clothing or jewelry that could hang
down and get caught in moving parts
• Never place yourself between a moving object and a wall
• Never overload or overwork a piece of heavy equipment
• Good housekeeping is a must
First Aid & Fire Extinguisher
• Avail first aid kit at the site
• Provide first aid training for selected employee
• Notify employee the first aider name in the site
• Avail the appropriate fire extinguisher at high risk area .
• Put fire extinguisher at reachable place and protected
from sunlight and heat
• Recommended fire extinguisher is Type ABC for fire
from rubbish, fuel & electricity
• Train workers on how to use fire extinguisher
Accident reporting
• Any accidents/near misses will be reported to
Engineer
• Participate employee in accident investigation
• If fire accident happen, try to distinguish
immediately & report to Engineer
