Singapore is known for its diverse cuisine that blends Chinese, Indian, and Malaysian influences. Some iconic Singaporean dishes include bak kut teh, a pork rib soup simmered for hours with herbs and spices; soto ayam, a fragrant chicken soup served with noodles and rice cakes; and mie goreng, fried noodles with meat and vegetables. Rendang curry, a rich coconut milk beef curry cooked for several hours, is also a traditional Singaporean favorite often enjoyed during festive occasions. Strong black tea with condensed milk and the Singapore Sling cocktail are popular drinks that accompany meals.
