Compound interest is the addition of interest to the principal sum of a loan or deposit, or in other words, interest on principal plus interest. It is the result of reinvesting interest, or adding it to the loaned capital rather than paying it out, or requiring payment from borrower, so that interest in the next period is then earned on the principal sum plus previously accumulated interest. Compound interest is standard in finance and economics.
Compound interest is contrasted with simple interest, where previously accumulated interest is not added to the principal amount of the current period, so there is no compounding. The simple annual interest rate is the interest amount per period, multiplied by the number of periods per year. The simple annual interest rate is also known as the nominal interest rate (not to be confused with the interest rate not adjusted for inflation, which goes by the same name).Compound interest is the addition of interest to the principal sum of a loan or deposit, or in other words, interest on principal plus interest. A numerical reasoning test is an aptitude test measuring ability to perform calculations and interpret data in the form of charts. There are five common types of numerical reasoning tests: calculation, estimation, number sequence, word problem, and data interpretation. Most of them are in multiple-choice format. Numerical ability is defined as the capacity to comprehend, reason about, and apply basic numerical ideas. Understanding basic arithmetical operations such as additions, reduction, multiply, and divisions constitute basic numeracy abilities. How do you prepare numerical ability?

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

3. 1. At the rate of 8 1/2% p.a. simple interest, a sum of
Rs. 4800 will earn how much interest in 2 years 3
months ?
A.Rs. 796 B.Rs. 816 C.Rs. 918 D.Rs. 956
Ans : Option A
Explanation:
4. 2. What will be the simple interest earned on an
amount of Rs. 16,800 in 9 months at the rate of
6 1/4% p.a. ?
A. Rs. 787.50 B.Rs. 812.50 C.Rs. 860 D.Rs. 887.50
Ans: Option A
Explanation:
Total sale for 5 months = Rs. (6435 + 6927 + 6855 + 7230 +
6562) = Rs. 34009. Required sale = Rs. [ (6500 x 6) – 34009 ]
= Rs. (39000 – 34009) = Rs. 4991.
5. 3. The simple interest on Rs. 1820 from March 9,
2003 to May 21, 2003 at 7 1/2% rate will be
A.Rs. 22.50 B.Rs. 27.30 C.Rs. 28.80 D.Rs. 29
Ans : Option D
Explanation:
Average of 20 numbers = 0. Sum of 20 numbers (0 x 20) =
0. It is quite possible that 19 of these numbers may be
positive and if their sum is a then 20th number is (-a).
6. 4.A person borrows Rs. 5000 for 2 years at 4% p.a.
simple interest. He immediately lends it to
another person at 6 1/4% p.a. for 2 years. Find
his gain in the transaction per year.
A.Rs. 112.50 B.Rs. 125 C.Rs. 150 D.Rs. 167.50
Ans : Option C
Explanation:
Total weight increased = (8 x 2.5) kg = 20 kg. Weight of
new person = (65 + 20) kg = 85 kg.
7. 5. How much time will it take for an amount of Rs.
450 to yield Rs. 81 as interest at 4.5% per annum
of simple interest ?
A.3.5 years B.4 years C.4.5 years D.5 years
Ans : Option A
Explanation :
Let the average age of the whole team by x years. 11x –
(26 + 29) = 9(x -1) 11x – 9x = 46 2x = 46 x = 23. So, average
age of the team is 23 years.
