ePET is a flexible ePortfolio tool that can be customized to support program-specific learning outcomes and skills. It allows learners to control access to their portfolio and add individual learning outcomes in addition to program outcomes. Blog entries in ePET can be directly linked to structured program outcomes or skills for assessment purposes. ePET was initially developed in 2002 and has been adapted to support a range of educational purposes including assessment, reflective learning, and continuing professional development.

The blog in ePET has been specifically designed for educational purposes; it is unstructure d but blog entries can be directly linked to structured programme outcomes or skill sets for evidencing - integrated in the ePortfolio. Entries can be private or published to communities. What is ePET? ePET is a flexible ePortfolio that can be customised to support programme-specific learning outcomes and skills. It can be used to embed PDP in the context of the curriculum and to support a range of educational purposes including assessment, reflective learning & CPD. The team at Newcastle initially developed ePET in 2002 as part of a HEFCE funded project. ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],Mobile Technologies Mobile access to log books and portfolios in ePET have been developed in projects funded by CETL4HealthNE. Support for mobiles is being further addressed in the EPICS-2 project (www.epics.ac.uk). Life-long Learning The ePET team have worked closely with the cutting-edge standards to support transfer of portfolio data (including 3 JISC interoperability projects). The team were amongst the first in the UK to work with EUROPASS and HR-XML, as well as the IMS specifications. These standards will support continuity in life-long learning. ePET Admin: 1. After funding ended, three key actions were taken to sustain the project's impact: 1) Supporting institutional change by using TESEP to inform curriculum reviews. 2) Continuing to lead changes by formalizing advocate networks and interest groups. 3) Ongoing professional development through publications, conferences, and a research interest group.

Electronic portfolios have become increasingly popular. The value of a portfolio, though, depends on how, when, and why students create, submit, and have their portfolios evaluated. In the following paper, we describe how we redesigned a program's assessment and evaluation plan around the use of electronic portfolios and a system of gates focusing on the larger assessment/evaluation framework first and the technology second.

Lessons learned emphasized using ePortfolios within a full program over time, identifying supportive faculty, and providing guidance on assessment and rationale for its educational value.

Surveys of over 40 travel managers and JANET VC users found considerable usage of virtual meetings but also key barriers to greater adoption like ease of use, information, and technology support. Case studies showed specific universities reducing travel by 25% or more between campuses through virtual meeting tools.
Ucare
The U-CARE project aims to reduce excess energy consumption and carbon emissions from heating and cooling labs and server rooms at universities. It will develop a software application to program heating controls based on occupancy levels, machine usage, and other monitored data to reduce overshoots in energy usage from threshold-based triggers. The project will establish energy benchmarks, monitor facility usage, and develop the software application with outputs including open-source software, reports on metering data and outcomes like energy and cost savings.

This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
