The document discusses three similar cooking shows: Great British Bake Off on BB2, the intended channel for the proposed show; Sunday Brunch on Channel 4; and Let's Do Lunch with Gino & Mel on ITV. Great British Bake Off involves contestants baking for judges but the proposed show would not have a winner. Sunday Brunch and Let's Do Lunch feature short, easy recipes prepared on air. While not on the intended broadcast channel, Let's Do Lunch has a similar presenter-led, weekday lunchtime timeslot envisioned for the proposed new show.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2. GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF
There is an already existing show which is called
“Great British Bake Off”, it is aired on BB2 which is
the channel my show would be targeted at. It
includes a set of contestants baking foods for a
set of famous people such as Mary Berry & Paul
Hollywood. At the end of the series there is always
a winner out of them all. As I am only doing one
show and not for a long period of time, mine
would not include a winner it would just entail the
sort of cooking/baking as this show does. As this
show is aired on the channel I am wishing to
target, this could mean that I already have an
existing audience there for my show. This would
then lead to me not having to do my own research
for my intended audience. It is mainly a special
interest show as it is just based on
baking/cooking and nothing else.
3. SUNDAY BRUNCH
Another programme similar to the one I intend
on creating is “Sunday Brunch”, is has a few
short recipes which get followed then made into
the foods to show the audience. This is more of
a similar show to the one I would like to make
as there is no winner involved there is just short
and easy recipes being followed to complete the
foods. It is aired on channel 4 which is not the
channel I wish to target but I could then further
do research to see whether there is an audience
gap there for me and whether there is any
interest in this sort of show.
4. LETS DO LUNCH WITH GINO & MEL
This show is also very similar to the
one I wish to create as they also
include short recipes on foods, they
also show the ingredients being put
into the bowls and how to cut and
prepare them the correct way. They
also state the ingredients they are
using and substitutes if the
ingredients is always available. It is
shown at 12pm on weekdays on ITV
which is not the channel I intend on
broadcasting mine on but the time
is similar to the one I was planning
on showing it at. It is presenter led
which also is what I intend to do.
