What is Association Management Software (AMS)Martin Nikleva
This document discusses association management software (AMS) and its benefits. AMS provides functionality to help associations operate through features like websites, payments, directories, and tools for events, fundraising, and member collaboration. It simplifies operations, streamlines workflows, innovates over time, has ongoing support, and offers predictable costs compared to custom software. When choosing an AMS, organizations should consider whether to integrate an existing website or build a new one using an AMS provider's templates.
The new integrated workplace - Dan Thomsen - Intranet NowIntranet Now
The document discusses how sharing knowledge, collaborating, and having the right tools and platform can help change and improve an organization. It provides examples of how an integrated workplace that converges data, information, people, collaboration, insight and applications into a single access point through tools like Outlook, OneDrive, Yammer, and business applications can help make it easier for the right knowledge to get to the right people at the right time. It argues that with the right building blocks and platform, organizations can build what they want and change and improve problems that may otherwise be complicated.
Software as a Service (SaaS) has come a long way from being just an iota to a budding industry. With rising market trends for SaaS, large numbers of companies are switching from the customary on-premise software to SaaS based applications. Though it’s an early start for SaaS, it has still managed to leave an enduring impression and has played a major role in the success of most small and medium sized businesses (SMBs).

How to Start a SaaS Business Without Knowing How to Programme | TeamWaveReshmi Menon
Many entrepreneurs have great ideas to start a SaaS Business and know ways to market and sell the product. But that must never stop one from pursuing their dream of starting a business if they are passionate about it.
There are multiple options available now and you don’t need to know how to programme to start a business. In this presentation, I talk about a few tried and tested methods which are used by non-technical founders.

Why Apache Kafka Clusters Are Like Galaxies (And Other Cosmic Kafka Quandarie...Paul Brebner
Closing talk for the Performance Engineering track at Community Over Code EU (Bratislava, Slovakia, June 5 2024) https://eu.communityovercode.org/sessions/2024/why-apache-kafka-clusters-are-like-galaxies-and-other-cosmic-kafka-quandaries-explored/ Instaclustr (now part of NetApp) manages 100s of Apache Kafka clusters of many different sizes, for a variety of use cases and customers. For the last 7 years I’ve been focused outwardly on exploring Kafka application development challenges, but recently I decided to look inward and see what I could discover about the performance, scalability and resource characteristics of the Kafka clusters themselves. Using a suite of Performance Engineering techniques, I will reveal some surprising discoveries about cosmic Kafka mysteries in our data centres, related to: cluster sizes and distribution (using Zipf’s Law), horizontal vs. vertical scalability, and predicting Kafka performance using metrics, modelling and regression techniques. These insights are relevant to Kafka developers and operators.
