SIGNIFICANCE OF INDIAN CULTURE
1.
2. When we believe that modern technology
is really modern, this prejudice makes us
question great physicists like Oppenheimer,
the father of modern atomic bomb who on
seeing the first nuclear explosion in the
last century said that he had read
the description of a nuclear weapon in
Bhagavadgita– the ancient Sanskrit text
which says,
“If the radiance of a thousand suns
Were to burst at once into the sky
That would be like the splendor of the Mighty
one…
I am become Death,
The shatterer of Worlds.”

4. String Theory states that entire universe is
filled with Vibrations, and so do Vedas calling
this vibration Om
You can take any vedic text thousands of
years old, or commentaries on vedic texts
by scholars centuries old, or even those
works at the beginning of the last century,
and they all say that the entire universe is
made up of vibrations, and the vedic hymn
Om (0r aum) symbolizes this universal
vibration. But all these days this vedic
statement was said to be unscientific –
claiming that there are no such vibrations
in the universe, its only quantum particles
everywhere, so on and so forth.
5. Matapurkar said, "they not only knew about
test-tube babies and embryo spliting but also had
the technology to grow human foetuses outside
the body of a woman-someting that is not known
to modern science," he aded.
now, we have only one baby in test tube
method, and only one animal in cloning, but
they adopted scientific 100 times more than now.
This method is In Vitro Fertilization.
6. Mishra said, “In 1985, NASA scientist Rick Briggs had invited 1,000 Sanskrit
scholars from India for working at NASA. But scholars refused to allow the
language to be put to foreign use.”
The scientists believe that Sanskrit is also helpful in speech therapy besides
helping in mathematics and science. It also improves concentration.
The alphabets used in the language are scientific and their correct
pronunciation improves the tone of speech. It encourages imagination and
improves memory retention also. uter in the least number of words.

8. Modern science says that skin has 4-5 layers,
where as Ayurveda says that skin has 7 layers!
Now or tomorrow when Modern Science
discovers the other two layers in the skin,
would it be wrong for vedic scholars or
ayurvedic doctors to claim that the ayurvedic
texts already spoke about this?
Ayurveda defines a human as the assemblage
of the five great elements plus the “immaterial
self.”
9. The calendar that we follow today is the Gregorian
calendar, which was introduced in 1582.
As you know, in the current system, we have a leap
year once every 4 years to compensate for the
extra fraction of time taken by our beloved earth to
revolve around the sun.
Comparing the Gregorian with the Hindu calendar,
generally referred to as the Panchang, we see that
the Hindu version has a much more scientific
relationship. While the former is based on the Solar
variation and accounts for the earth's revolution
around the sun as 12 months each having 30 days,
the latter is based on the moon's revolution around
the earth, where each month takes 28 days. To
compensate for the loss of days, and extra month,
called the Adhik Mas (mas is the word for month), is
added every 30 months.
10. It is an age old practice for Indians to observe
a fast (vrat) on Ekadasi days. Ekadasi is 11th
day of the moon cycle.
Indian mythology says, fasting on this day
cleanses people from their sins and pave their
path to heaven.
But the scientific reason hidden behind is that, the air pressure on the earth varies to
extreme limits on both the new moon (Amavasya) and the full moon (Purnima) day.
Now, based on this fact, the significance of Ekadasi fasting can be explained in 2 ways:
1) According to science, it takes about 3-4 days for the food that we eat today to reach
our brain. Now, if we eat light/fast on Ekadasi days, that intake will reach the brain
correspondingly on the New moon/full moon day.
On both of these days, the earth pressure is at its maximum, thus leading to imbalance
in everything, including ones thought process. So, if the input to the brain is at a
minimum, the chances of the imbalancing of brain’s activities also become minimum.
2)Another explanation for Ekadasi fasting is that, compared to any other day atmospheric
pressure is lowest on Ekadasi days. Thus, this is the best time to fast and cleanse the
bowel system. If we fast on any other day, the high pressure/strain may damage our
system. Thus, it is advisable that after fasting on Ekadasi.
11. India was the richest country on earth till the British invasion in
the 17th century.
India invented the Number System. Zero was invented by
Aryabhatta.
The world’s first university was established in Takshila in 700BC.
More than 10,000 students from all over the world studied over 60
subjects. The University of Nalanda built in the 4th century BC
was one of the greatest achievements of ancient India in the field
of education.
Sanskrit is the mother of all European languages. Sanskrit is the
most suitable language for computer software (report in Forbes
magazine, July 1987)
Bhaskaracharya calculated the time taken by the earth to orbit
the sun hundreds of years before the astronomer Smart. Time
taken by earth to orbit the sun: (5th century) 365.258756484
days.

12. Ayurveda is the earliest school of medicine known to man.
Charaka, the father of medicine consolidated Ayurveda 2500 years
ago.
The value of pi was first calculated by Budhayana and he
explained the concept of what is known as the Pythagorean
Theorem. He discovered this in the 6th century long before the
European mathematicians.
Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus came from India
Quadratic equations were by Sridharacharya in the 11th century
The largest numbers the Greeks and the Romans used were 10^6
whereas Indians used numbers as big as 10^53 with specific
names as early as 5000 BC during the Vedic period. Even today,
the largest used number is Tera 10^12
The game of chess was invented India
Decimal system was invented in India
And much more…………………
The legacy continues……………………..
