The video for a fast-paced song will use a variety of quickly cut shots and edits to reflect the song's speed. Extreme close-ups provide details about a character's appearance while regular close-ups help audiences identify with characters and the emotions they portray. Mid-shots show less detail than close-ups but give an impression of the whole subject and their surroundings.
