The document is a letter written by Luna to Fred before his graduation. Luna has secretly loved Fred from afar for months but did not tell him because he was in a relationship. They became friends briefly before his graduation. On graduation day, Fred hugs Luna and kisses her forehead. Years later, Fred finds Luna's letter and searches for her, realizing he has feelings for her too. He finds her and confesses his love, and Luna admits she has always loved him as well. They share a hug in the rain.

1. A Letter To The Boy Leaving In June
There were so much Luna wanted to say to Fred, and before Fred’s graduation day
she wrote a letter to him. A goodbye letter. She wanted Fred to remember that
there was once a girl who cared for him and a girl that had contributed something
in his life. Although Luna couldn’t ask for more because Fred is already taken, she
wanted him to at least remember that she existed in his life. Fred loves someone
else and that is why she couldn’t admit her feelings for him. She was contented with
the little and short time friendship they had. At least. She told herself. At least
before it was too late; she somehow fulfilled her wish; to become friends with Fred.
But after his graduation, she promised to herself and to Fred secretly that she would
try to move on. In the letter, she would tell everything. She would tell how she felt
for him, how much she loved him and how she developed these feelings. She wants
him to know how she feels every time they would talk or even pass by each other at
the corridors. But she will never have the courage to send it.
For 5 months, Luna was contented on staring at Fred from a far but who would
think that a miracle would happen and even for a little time, she would become
friends with him? It was amazing, it was the best feeling in the world; to know that
Luna existed in Fred’s life, but sadly it would only be for a short time. Despite that,
Luna was very happy and she would treasure this short time friendship for the rest
of her life. She was happy to share a part of her to Fred, and Fred to her. Although
she knows that this would be really quick, she made the most out of it. But these
feelings, she still couldn’t tell and she had to be contented with this set up.
Fred’s graduation day came and he finally got his diploma. Luna was waiting outside

2. the auditorium as the graduation ceremony finishes. As the black wooden double
doors opened, Fred came out wearing his black graduation toga and on his hands,
he held tightly but carefully on his diploma. A wide smile on his lips was plastered
and his eyes were filled with gleaming stars. He was teary eyed and there he saw
Luna who tried to catch up on the ceremony because she has a class to attend to
that day.
“Luna!” He called her and she turned gently upon recognizing Fred’s voice. As she
saw Fred, her heart melted to the ground and she couldn’t help but get teary eyed.
She tried her best to hold her tears. She shouldn’t cry, she has no right to. She
warned herself. She put up a smile on her lips, it was pure jovial but somehow she
couldn’t help but fight her mouth from wrinkling. “Congratulations!” She said as she
tried to shut her mouth to stop herself from letting out a sob. It was hard fighting
this feeling but she had to show him that she was happy for him. “Thank you.” Fred
answered and he pulled Luna into a hug.
The hug was warm and heart-felt. Luna can’t help it, there was a lump forming in
her throat. She then knew that tears were rolling down her cheeks. She know she
was wetting his garments so she pulled the hug off, but then he pulled her back
gently anyway. Fred planted a soft kiss on Luna’s forehead. Luna was overwhelmed
but then, she knew that he only sees her as his little sister. They have been through
a lot within 3 weeks. They had known each other well like they had known each
other for a long time. Luna gave Fred a warm smile but she can’t seem to look at
his eyes.
That was the last time they saw each other. But Fred seemed to remember that

3. purple Sunday dress Luna was wearing that day. The way her long black hair that
reaches her waist sways gracefully to her movements. The vanilla scents of Luna that
lingered upon his nose and stays until now. Fred wondered where Luna could be.
After 6 years, he found himself thinking about the girl he once met but made a
huge impact in his life. What if? Fred asks himself. What if he actually pursued her?
After all these years he suddenly thought of the young lady he never saw again.
On a sunny Tuesday morning, Fred decided to check his college e-mail out of
nowhere as he misses his student life and he suddenly found a mail that lies there
at 10:24 in the morning. It reads:
Dear Fred (To The Boy Leaving In June),
I know we just met like 3 weeks ago but I feel the need to write this letter. In here, I
will tell you everything. It was a sunny afternoon when I first saw you standing on
the sidewalk of a restaurant next to our campus, I was beguiled by the way you
stand and the way you handle yourself. I would admit, I didn’t give a damn. You
look like a bad boy who plays with girls heart and by the way you dress I already
judged what kind of person you are. With that artist hair, I know you’d make girls
die with your voice that makes them kneel and worship you and a voice that would
shake their souls out of their bodies. As soon as the days pass, I found myself
looking for you at your usual spot. It became a habit until I started seeing you at
every parts of the campus and I become more interested because I didn’t know
what your name was. Days went by and I’m glad that I get the chance to stare at
you every day until I admitted to myself that I already like you. I watch you, every
move you make. The way you use your hands to make beats on the table, it amazed
me. The way you strummed every string of your black guitar. The way you close

4. your eyes as you play the song with all your soul and feelings. The way you would
smile at your friends. The way you would talk to people. The way you walk, you talk,
you breathe and everything about you. Every little thing about you mattered until I
felt like I have no chance at all in knowing your name. Luckily, fate let me know your
name and things about you. I found you on Facebook until I browsed about you
and found out that you already love someone else. It hurt, to know that I have no
chance at all. All my dreams were shattered. With that, I tried to get over you but
every time I tried to, I failed. You were there and I was here from a far. You were so
near yet so far. I cannot reach you and I don’t know why. I kept on asking fate why
but there was no answer given to me. Until fate gave me so many chances. And the
one I took, it was the greatest decision I ever made. It felt awkward to finally talk to
you and you were talking to me too. I had to pretend I didn’t know every single
detail about you when I really do. But somehow I was wrong. I found a lot more
about you when you told me things. I was so nervous when you asked me out on a
lunch, not knowing if I should go or if it’s right or wrong. But then I went anyway.
For three weeks, many things had happened. Even if it wasn’t much for you, it meant
a lot to me. Until I found out about you, graduating and it felt bad for me. I mean I
should be happy for you, and I was, but the thought of you leaving makes me want
to hibernate my entire life. I want you to be with me even if I know it’s impossible.
You love her, and it reminds me every single day I see you holding your phone and
talking to somebody which I know was her. Despite that, I made sure I wasn’t going
to regret having the chance to meet you, I made the most out of it. I talked to you,
and you talked to me. We shared a part of each other and this one I’m going to
treasure for the rest of my life. But I am so sorry for your girlfriend. I know it was
wrong of me to spend time with you. It wasn’t right that I made it happen and my
conscience bugged me. So I’m going to promise that after your graduation day, I’m
going to go on with my life. I’m going to take you off my mind. I will set you free. I

Fred’s morning suddenly stopped working. Everything in the world halted and Fred
couldn’t process it. His whole day was turned upside down. His day ended looking
for her but he couldn’t reach her. He didn’t know where to find her. Her friend
doesn’t seem to know where she is now. It seems that she has cut all of her
connections with everyone.
Fred travelled. He went on all parts of the country until he finally found the exact
address she had been staying in.
Luna couldn’t move as well as Fred. They were both stunned upon seeing each
other. Luna didn’t know how to feel but Fred felt really happy. He smiled at her and
made the first move. He pulled her to his arms the way he did on his graduation
day. Luna remembered it very well. She felt the same feeling like she was just
seventeen again. The only thing Luna could think of now if Fred’s presence.
Fred was in front of her and she couldn’t feel a thing. It was all mixed up and all she
wanted to do is to hug him tight and never let him go. She found the same old
feeling se was trying to avoid lying in front of her. But she fought the urge to let it
all out. She made a promise, to Fred, his girlfriend and to herself.
As they reached the white gazeebo, Fred prepared to ask Luna.
Fred slowly walked towards Luna and pulled her into a hug. She hushed her tears
away and hugged her tight.

6. “I love you Fred.” Says Luna until the rain poured hard and made them soaking wet.
“I love you too, Luna, ever since.”
