During the research and planning stages, the student used various online tools like Google, Prezi, PowerPoint, and Blogger to conduct research and organize findings. Video footage from interviews and initial pitches were captured using a camera to allow review.
For construction of the music video and ancillary materials, the student utilized video and voice recording equipment, as well as editing software like Movie Studio Platinum and Photoshop. Mobile phones and cameras were also used.
To evaluate the project, the student created presentations and videos using Prezi, Powtoon, Movie Studio Platinum, and PowerPoint to answer the evaluation questions for posting online. Different media were chosen based on the needs of each question.

Generic conventions in pop digipacks converted
Pop album covers generally follow certain conventions regarding fonts, colors, composition, and clothing. The font used for the album or artist name depends on whether it's a boy band, female artist, or male artist, but usually overlays the album image in a medium to large size. Bright colors like red, yellow, pink and light blue are commonly used to attract a wide audience. The artist is usually centered in the image in a mid-shot or close-up with their face illuminated. Props are rarely used beyond an occasional guitar, as pop artists aim to dress like their mainstream audience to promote relatability.
Risk assessment

The rural setting contrasts somewhat with the urban clothing of one character. The characters conform to gender stereotypes, with the more dominant male overriding the less dominant one. The media product does not represent females, older people, or gay people in order to focus on the two male leads and portray an idealized vision of masculinity for an action genre.
Question 4
Our target audience is males under 35 years old. Research of secondary data from the UK Film Council showed this age group is most likely to watch action films. Interviews with a 34-year-old male cousin confirmed he enjoys action films due to elements like famous actors, explosions, fighting, humor and car chases. He would be interested in our film because it contains fighting and a chase between two men, with potential for a car chase later on. The 15 rating aims to make the film appealing to both teenagers and males under 35.
Media work
This document summarizes how two main characters in a media product represent social groups. The two characters are both white, British, heterosexual males of the same age from the same social class. While their physical violence is greater than typical for their age group due to the action genre, their portrayal also challenges stereotypes as their rural surroundings do not match stereotypes of their urban clothing attire. This made it easier for us because we didn’t have to go out and find the horses from an exterior source. The party scene and pre party film were also filmed at the same location because this member was having a party which meant we could film. The bedroom scene was also filmed at this location because the female actor Tuesday Whybrow is the sister of this particular member of the group, so it made sense to film it in her own bedroom. Lincoln: We chose Lincoln because it is the nearest big city and is fairly easily accessed, also it is quite an attractive City with great locations that we can film, such as the Cathedral and the docks. France: France was somewhere where one of the group was going to on holiday and because it was Ben one of the actors it made sense to do so film whilst over there. New Zealand: New Zealand was also somewhere where one of the group was going and so was one of the actors therefore it also made sense to get some footage.
