Sustainable Harvest International works in 4 Central American countries to reduce poverty and deforestation through sustainable family farming. They train local field trainers to teach techniques like cover crops, crop rotation, and composting to grow traditional staple crops. This helps convert degraded land to sustainable uses, save tropical forests from slash-and-burn, plant trees, and improve incomes and nutrition for over 2,100 families in 155 communities. Funding supports their work training families and communities in sustainable techniques.
