The New English file Beginner course, as the title indicates,

This is the lowest level of generative language use.

very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a
concrete type.
•To introduce him/herself and others and can ask and
answer questions about personal details such as where

The New English file Elementary course is for English language
students who have minimal knowledge of English.
At this level students begin learning descriptors for social
functions, such as greeting people, and general socializing.
In this course students will learn:
•To understand sentences and frequently used expressions
related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic
personal and family information, shopping, local geography,
employment).
•To communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple
and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine
matters.
•To describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background,
immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
The NEF Elementary revises level A1 and leads into level A2 and is
ideal for example for students who have done basic English in the
past, maybe at school a long time ago and wish to continue in
learning.

The New English Pre-intermediate course is for
English language students who have basic knowledge of English.
At this level the student practices maintaining a conversation and
expressing ideas. Also the student learns how to deal with problem
situations where unpredictable language is used.
Pre-intermediate students are past the beginner and elementary stages
and are now ready to start communicating more efficiently. The Pre-
intermediate NEF course book focuses on high-frequency vocabulary,
and also on speaking activities, pronunciation and grammar. The course
