Storage and performance- Batch processing, WhiptailInternet World
Batch processing allows jobs to run without manual intervention by shifting processing to less busy times. It avoids idling computing resources and allows higher overall utilization. Batch processing provides benefits like prioritizing batch and interactive work. The document then discusses different approaches to batch processing like dedicating all resources to it or sharing resources. It outlines challenges like systems being unavailable during batch processing. The rest of the document summarizes Whiptail's flash storage solutions for accelerating workloads and reducing costs and resources compared to HDDs.
This document provides instruction on the order of operations for solving mathematical expressions. It explains that there are specific rules to follow when solving expressions, known as the order of operations. These rules are: 1) complete all operations within parentheses first, 2) perform all exponents next, 3) multiply and divide from left to right, and 4) add and subtract from left to right. The document provides examples of solving expressions using the proper order of operations and encourages remembering the order using the acronym PEMDAS.
Case Studies in M2M by David Wigglesworth of IridiumCarl Ford
This session will look at the applications that M2M supports, as well as the devices that are enabling these applications. The session will also discuss the role of M2M capabilities in rural applications.
Case studies will be presented that demonstrate how M2M technology and devices are being used in applications that affect our daily lives. Applications such as monitoring and providing data on water quality, monitoring systems for an offshore gas project, tracking overseas cargo shipments, people tracking in remote areas, and the ability to monitor remote assets globally will all be discussed.
Sentinel Air provides aerial surveillance services using manned and unmanned aircraft for security, law enforcement, environmental, and disaster applications. They offer both short-term and long-term surveillance contracts to monitor issues like border security, drug trafficking, search and rescue operations, pipeline inspection, and wildlife monitoring. Their aircraft are equipped with day and night cameras, radios, data links and can provide live video feeds to law enforcement and customers.
The presentation is about an IoT solution for a Wildlife Tracking. Beneficiaries of this system are parks, reserves and animal owners (camels, goats and cattle). This system helps to track and monitor animals, studying their behavior and protect them against illegal activities.

Adding the Third Dimension to Natural Resource Assessments: Watercourse Cross...Melissa Tiffany
Detailed, up-to-date natural resource assessment information is increasingly important for quantitative resource management. Terrestrial LiDAR is a promising technique that could replace and/or enhance current natural resource assessment processes, specifically, Watercourse Crossings and Forest Resource Inventory. The FARO Focus X330 laser scanner was used for these applications under the direction of Woodlands North and the current status of work will be presented.

How to Add Chatter in the odoo 17 ERP ModuleCeline George
In Odoo, the chatter is like a chat tool that helps you work together on records. You can leave notes and track things, making it easier to talk with your team and partners. Inside chatter, all communication history, activity, and changes will be displayed.
How to Fix the Import Error in the Odoo 17Celine George
An import error occurs when a program fails to import a module or library, disrupting its execution. In languages like Python, this issue arises when the specified module cannot be found or accessed, hindering the program's functionality. Resolving import errors is crucial for maintaining smooth software operation and uninterrupted development processes.
Assessment and Planning in Educational technology.pptxKavitha Krishnan
In an education system, it is understood that assessment is only for the students, but on the other hand, the Assessment of teachers is also an important aspect of the education system that ensures teachers are providing high-quality instruction to students. The assessment process can be used to provide feedback and support for professional development, to inform decisions about teacher retention or promotion, or to evaluate teacher effectiveness for accountability purposes.
