This passage discusses Jesus sending his disciples out into the world to spread his message. He warns them that they will face persecution from both religious and political authorities, and even betrayal from family members. However, Jesus promises that the Holy Spirit will give them the words to say to defend their faith. He also tells them not to worry about persecution, but to flee to another town if they are driven out. The passage concludes by listing the spiritual armor from God that believers should wear, including truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation and the word of God, to withstand attacks from Satan.
