3. 1. Rock, Paper, and you're dead!
This series of killings took place in the late 1980s. More than 8
homeless people were found dead in Mumbai in 1985, while
13 murders took place in Kolkata in 1989. Though no evidence
confirms the events to be interlinked, the modus operandi
had an uncanny resemblance, which led the police to believe
that the murders were linked. To date, they remain unsolved.
Manish Gupta, who wrote the script for Sarkar directed a 2009
film based on the killings.

He was nicknamed "the Serpent" and "the Bikini Killer" for his

Guilty of at least 12 murders, he is currently serving a sentence
of life imprisonment in a prison in Nepal, following a trial.

The only cipher which was decoded, stated that he killed people
because he was "collecting slaves for afterlife".
Fincher directed another 2007 movie directly inspired from him.
