The Sensorium Project had four stages: construction of a sensing device called Sensorium, workshops in Salvador and Cachoeira along the coast and river, data visualization, and an art exhibition. The interdisciplinary team created Sensorium to sense the environment along the journey from sea to river through artistic, scientific, and technological means. Sensorium was installed on a boat and used cameras, microphones, and sensors to collect environmental data which was later exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in Bahia through various artworks exploring the correlations between Salvador and Cachoeira. The project brought together art, science, and citizen involvement to create new understandings of the environment.
