Karis and Sam participated in a sensewalk where one person was blindfolded to experience what it's like to lose their sight. Karis, who was blindfolded, found walking slower and bumping into things uncomfortable, while Sam felt intimidated by others. Both became disoriented quickly and relied heavily on senses other than sight, as well as trusting their partner to guide them. Outside she felt more in control. Becky felt uneasy and reliant on her partner. Sounds and distances felt closer. Katie and Verity went on a sensewalk around campus blindfolded to experience what it's like without sight. They found they had to rely more on hearing and the feeling of different surfaces under their feet. While initially disorienting, they became better at recognizing where they were based on characteristics of different areas. They felt helpless at first but more comfortable after adjusting. The partner leading the blindfolded person had control and responsibility to guide them safely.
Mel & Tess Intervention 3

2) Walking backwards from campus made them feel disoriented, silly, and uncomfortable breaking social norms. It was difficult to navigate terrain without falling. Other pedestrians didn't respond or move out of the way, focused on their own activities, though one commented they may be walking for charity.
Intervention 2
Ben and Leonie participated in an experiment where one person was blindfolded and guided by the other person. Ben noticed more curry houses than usual during the experiment. He felt quite uncertain and nervous being blindfolded but trusted his partner. Most pedestrians moved around the pair without much reaction, though a couple gave funny looks. Leonie noticed the noise of traffic and noticed the weather more since it was raining. She felt relaxed and spent time thinking about other things rather than focusing on how she may have looked to others. People avoided her or went around her. For Ben's second turn being blindfolded, he noticed how busy and slow traffic was. He felt a bit weird and self-conscious but watched the cars pass. One
Intervention 1 the Derive by Koops and Sophie

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software Fuzzing
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Picturing our environment… • I pictured my environment most of the time while walking, even when I was more at ease, mainly out of curiousity. • We both kept asking one another where we were or if they knew where they were. • I began picturing my environment but gave up and put my full trust in Karis.
- 6. Helpless? Trust and Power.. • I don’t feel completely helpless but I do feel vulnerable, I am completely reliant on Sam. • To begin with I felt quite helpless, but I gained confidence as I continued my walk. • I kept wondering if it would have been easier if I we had met prior to the sensewalk? I trusted Sam until he forgot to tell me about a step, then I got uneasy when we hadn’t come across any in a while. • I realised how reliant Sam was on me when we came across doors only big enough for one person to go through, he would completely stop until I gave him my hand back. • I felt that I had to put a lot of trust in my partner, I felt comfortable that my partner had my safety in mind. • I felt as though the guide was more powerful than the blindfolded walker, whilst I was blindfolded I also felt as though the general public were also more powerful than me • I was very vulnerable and reliant upon my partner.
