Semiotics is the study of signs and symbols, how they transmit information to audiences, and the codes used in different media like religion, corporate logos, and advertising. Religions use symbols that represent their beliefs, like Christianity's use of the cross. Corporations also use semiotics in their logos with colors, signs and text to represent their brand, such as McDonald's golden arches. Advertising further employs semiotics to convince people, like a Detol ad showing dirty public handrails to promote their hygiene products and featuring their logo and colors.

This webinar presented the major findings of a CSIRO-led investigation into the potential air quality impacts of amine-based post-combustion carbon capture (PCC) technology. The study was commissioned by the Global Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Institute to expand knowledge on environmental impacts of the capture process, the study measures actual emissions as well providing a case study into air quality at the AGL Loy Lang PCC Plant in Victoria, Australia. The study aimed to address uncertainty about the types/quantities of pollutants released during PCC plant operations and what their acceptable emissions levels were. Understanding this would allow industry and regulators to develop appropriate health and safety practices around PCC plants. The research was based on data collected at CSIRO’s PCC pilot plant at the AGL Loy Yang brown coal-fired power plant in Victoria, Australia and from atmospheric degradation experiments in CSIRO’s smog chamber in New South Wales, Australia.

The aim of the thesis is a dynamic model able to describe a power-to-gas system, mainly composed by a SOEC stack (Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell) and a methanation reactor. In this way it is possible to convert the electric energy surplus, from an existing italian wind farm (operating in the Day-Ahead-Market), in substitute natural gas (SNG). The employed modelling softwares are Dymola and Aspen Plus, and the final goal is the techno-economic analysis of the system.

biscuit advertisement, as material used to determine the meaning of denotation and connotation signs using Roland
Barthes’ (1964) theory. This present study uses a qualitative approach to describe the semiotic phenomena of signs of
denotation and connotation in Zeera plus biscuit. From the analysis, the study conducted verbal and non-verbal analysis
of words, pictures, and colors of the advertisement. Through the application of semiotic theory, this study examines the
various signs, and symbols employed in Zeera plus to convey messages, and create meaning. This analysis unravels the
underlying semiotic structure and implications of Zeera Biscuit, shedding light on the complex relationship between
consumers, producers, and the broader socio-cultural context. After analyzing verbal and non-verbal signs of Zeera
plus biscuit advertisement based on Roland Barthes's semiotics theory, the study finds that verbal signs are more
significant than non-verbal signs, but the differences are minor. This research contributes to the sympathetic of visual

The current study presents a semiotic analysis of Zeera plus biscuit advertisement by focusing on the sign systems and
meanings embedded within this visual communication medium. In completing this research, this study uses 1 zeera plus
biscuit advertisement, as material used to determine the meaning of denotation and connotation signs using Roland
Barthes’ (1964) theory. This present study uses a qualitative approach to describe the semiotic phenomena of signs of
denotation and connotation in Zeera plus biscuit. From the analysis, the study conducted verbal and non-verbal analysis
of words, pictures, and colors of the advertisement. Through the application of semiotic theory, this study examines the
various signs, and symbols employed in Zeera plus to convey messages, and create meaning. This analysis unravels the
underlying semiotic structure and implications of Zeera Biscuit, shedding light on the complex relationship between
consumers, producers, and the broader socio-cultural context. After analyzing verbal and non-verbal signs of Zeera
plus biscuit advertisement based on Roland Barthes's semiotics theory, the study finds that verbal signs are more
significant than non-verbal signs, but the differences are minor. This research contributes to the sympathetic of visual
communication, Zeera plus design, and consumer culture, offering valuable perceptions for marketers, designers, and
researchers in these fields.

- 1. Semiotics Semiotics is the study of signs and symbols and their use or interpretation. It also transmits clear information to the audience. Semiotics also uses code -media languages the codes used within particular medium to convey message to the audience. Semiotics is something that is very important when it comes to religion. Every religion has its own signs that represent their believes. People all over the world know what these signs mean and what they stand for. For example, Christianity has a cross. Not only in religion semiotics are important and used a lot, but also in the corporate world. All corporations have their own logo, in this logo they make use of colours, signs and text. A very well-known logo is the logo of McDonald’s.
- 2. Also in advertising corporations are using semiotics. This is an advertising of Detol. It is a brand for hygiene and they are trying to convince people to buy their products by showing this add. They use the strange image of hands hanging in a bus, which refers to the holding spots in the public transportation. Thousands of other people have stood there, so these spots aren’t hygienic at all. They try to shock people in to buying their brand. Also they have made use of their product, logo and company colors, which are white and red.
