Semaje Bell was born in 1988 in the northside neighborhood of Old Town in Chicago. He later moved to the west side and has lived in various neighborhoods west of Western Avenue. He enjoys fixed gear bikes and working to improve his community through a giving circle that donates time, money, and resources to help local people, non-profits, and schools facing funding cuts. The giving circle also supports organizations resisting the current administration and each other during difficult political times.

We are a group of people who care about our community and want to invest our
money and resources into people, non-profits and schools, which are slowly being
defunded by our government. We believe that donating time and money is a
privilege and that if we come together as a group we can make a larger impact.
We also take time to discuss ways to resist #45, to support organizations and
people in non monetary ways and support each other through these difficult
times. We are a safe space and respect people of all genders, sexuality, religions
and beliefs!
