1. Self-introduction Letter
My name is Sunkyung,SHIN.I would like to appeal my strengths thorough my life.
Throghout the school days, I was awared a perfect attendance award, my mom didn’t want me to
go because of fever up to 40 degrees. I insisted on going to school, you won’t doubt my
faithfulness and diligence.
When I was in the middle school, I felt English was so fun and intonation sounded like music.
After school, I listened to the tape which was recorded the textbook by native speakers 3 times. It
was consisted of 8 tapes, whereas my friends listened to the tapes consisted of 60 tapes. And, I
repeated the text book 3 times. I sometimes thought 1 or 2 times are enough, but I insited on my
rules. After 2 years, I came to memorize the first 2 years’ middle textbook.I went to Itaewon every
Sunday, I approached the foriegner and talked to them to understand them more deeply. Even
though I grew up Daechi-dong, Gangnam where my friends had a lot of experience of going
abroad, went to private instituions or were taught by private tutors. I won the first prize in English
speaking contest, nobody couldn’t beat me. That showed my persistency and passion.
I took after my mother, who was a dancer. I teacheched dance to my friends including my 2
younger sisters at the age of 6. But, I was forced to study by parents for their missing dream and
by teachers for the school’s reputation. I regretted not choosing dance in my major, I made up my
mind not to follow the other’s dreams afterwards. I became to be firm in my belief from that time.
I chose law as my major, because I’ve grown up seeing all my families including cousins passed
Gosi which is very difficult test in Korea to become lawyers or high-ranking government officers
and they live an influencing life in society. Most interesting part of law was arbitration. I think
law is the last resort, people need to talk and modulate each other. I have a negotiating and
commumicating skills to arbitrate when your company needs, I will be at your side.
I started my career as an English announcer at CISM( Conseil Internationale Sports Militaire in
French) of Ministry of Military Service. I have a flexibility and adaptibilty, I could run sports games
smoothly.
After graduation, I got entered Nongshim which is a large food company of snacks and instant
noodles. I was honored to introduce whole company and Korea on behalf of the company to
foreign buyers whenever they visited riding president’s Mercedes even though I was a novice. And,
I also did the whole trade process from placing an order to nego at an export department, I was
in charge of the States and Canada the largest market.

2. I entered the ER C&C which was a small construction company, company wated me to make a
contract with the 4 Nike factories which are located in Indonesia. Vietnam and China. I not only
made them successfully but also made an exclusive contract summoned by NIKE headquarters. I
was proud I accomplished more than company expected. I also dealt with ISO 9000, patent and
trademark registration. That could convince the investors to invest to the company.
I studied and researched about law for a long time, because I thought it is my vocation. I
clarified, extracted, investigated and compiled. I think I am good at summaring and at presenting
them to the audience.
My last job was at the Korean consulate in Melbourne, Austrarlia. As a foundation member, I
established all the systems, and drafted the manuals of all the systems. I have the organization
skills to set a system and approach people kindly at the same time. I administered with integrity,
assertiveness and openness. I could improve my communicating skills through that experience.
I came back to Korea several months ago, I learned about FTA and am learning about plant at
Educon at the moment. After finishing this course, I want to be specialized in FIDIC and get
employed in your company.
I think PM is a very attractive job and I’m qualified as a PM. I have the analystic ability, judgement,
planning ,organization skills and creativeness that I couldn’t exert yet but I have a lot of potentials.
If you are looking for the person who is good at orgarnizing and English comminicating skills with
the knowledge of law. You found the right person.
If I got employed, I’ll do my best with the teams to make the company get the utmost goals, to
inspire people to improve at the right position and to faciliate people to work happily.
