This study examined the self-esteem of students at Georgia Southern University. A survey was administered to 165 students to measure their self-esteem using a 14 question questionnaire. The results found that most students exercised regularly to stay in shape and ate healthy, showing responsibility for their weight. Over half of students believed they were attractive and confident in their appearance. However, some respondents may not have answered honestly due to fears or peer influence. The study concluded that self-esteem on Georgia Southern's campus is generally high but could be further promoted through health education emphasizing benefits to mind, body and soul.
