- 2. SELECTINGFILESANDFOLDERS Windows Explorer allows you to copy, move and delete files and folders. One file or folder is very simple. Just click on the file or folder and it gets highlighted. If you want to select more than one file or folder. i) If the files or folders to be selected appear consecutively on the screen, then, click on the first file or folder. Using the scroll bars (if necessary), point the mouse pointer to the last file or folder in the list, hold the Shift key down and click shows a list of six consecutive files, which have been selected.
